09/05/2018 (v4.5.10)

Enhancements

Streaming video control -You can now choose if you want video in a video content block to use streaming video as it currently does,or to use the original source videofile instead.

  • Use streaming video:Choose this option to ensure a video loads quickly and to reduce the amount of bandwidth required. This option automatically scales the video quality based on the user’s Wi-Fior mobile data network performance.
  • Use original source video: Choose this option to ensure maximumvideo quality regardless of the user’s bandwidth or network performance. This option ensures that all information in the original file is delivered to the user, and that no quality scaling occurs. This option will result in increased buffer times for users with poor network performance, and may significantly impact the user’s data consumption on mobile data networks.

Higher streaming quality - videos set to streaming in the content block load in higher quality

Support for .epub files - You can now upload files in the .epub format to assignments
